In 2018 we saw more and more brands creating successful app-exclusive sale campaigns. App users converting at much higher rates than mobile web users. By moving more customers to the app channel, brands get a huge boost in sales numbers.
DENHAM Summer Sale blew up 125% y/y by giving App customers a day early access to the Sale, as App customers converted 6 times higher.
NYDJ organised a Crazy Denin day and gave App users early access. The app was a major contributor to an enormous boost in revenue.
Black Friday 2017 was already great but by kicking off Black Friday in the app exclusively, Marlies Dekkers boosted the year-on-year Black Friday weekend revenue by 225%.
In 2018 we shipped 29 new features and 25 app updates. We are continuously innovating to let brands offer shopping experiences that wow their customers. We are very proud of all the features we released over the last year. Here is a quick glance of some of the highlights of 2018.
At the start of 2018 we launched a completely redesigned and re-engineered checkout. It is faster, smarter and easier to use. The hard work paid off: consumers are converting at a 5% higher rate.
Notifications should be more than boring text messages. In 2017 we were the first shopping app to support rich images in push notifications. But we did not stop there. In 2018 we introduced video in push notifications. Now you can put your brand videos on the lock-screen of your fans.
The product detail view is one of the most important views of the customer journey. With this redesign we wanted to optimise it for the new generation of mobile devices with borderless screens. Product images got more space and are presented edge-to-edge, information was better organised and more features were added. On top of that, iPad got a big facelift with a design that fits perfectly on the latest generation.
In 2018 we welcomed many amazing new brands to the Highstreet platform – here are a few of them. Some are already live and some will celebrate their app launch in 2019. Welcome!
We are always looking for ways in which brands are able to express their story. The improved welcome screen is a great way to immediately impress your customers while the app is loading in the background.
Lookbooks are the best way to inspire your customers with great collections of products. They not only look beautiful, but also increase conversion. In 2018 we added lookbooks to the home experience, letting customers dive into them from the start.
